I’ve only just discovered your website here and I’m really glad I did! I’ve been playing DragonVale almost since the beginning and I have to say one of the things I love most about it is the music. (I will be posting a before/after clip soon) Not only will the soundtrack delight you but the game is a blast. If you don’t already play Dragonvale, take a moment to download the free Dragonvale app today. I also appreciate her deciphering my sheet music notation without too much complaint! Laura did a steller job performing the tracks and I will certainly be hiring her for recording sessions in the future. Clearly I needed some help but where to turn? Enter, Laura Intravia (a.k.a. This presented a bit of a problem for me as much of my compositions for DragonVale featured Flute, Medieval Recorder, Penny Whistle and English Horn. It really does feel more heartwarming and happy and the added nuance and artistry goes well with the high overall production values in the game.Īlthough I play many different instrument at a professional level, I have never taken on the challenge of learning to play the instruments in the woodwind family. I intended to rectify that for 2.0 and in the end I am really satisfied with the added value to the game. However, as it always seems to happen, I ran out of time as other Backflip Studios games needed my services too. The “Dragonvale Main Theme” and all the background music tracks have been remixed and performed using real instruments, not digital samples! Oh yeah! This was huge undertaking and the results were worth the effort. Originally, I composed the music by using digital instrument samples with the idea that eventually I would get them recorded with real instruments before it shipped. The major release of Dragonvale 2.0 provided an opportunity for me to take the music in the game to the next level. 4.5 million monthly users currently participate in the dragon hatching mania! With statistics like these, millions of fans and a successful soundtrack on iTunes you would think enough was enough. DragonVale has seen 25 million downloads, 750+ consecutive days in the Top 50 grossing charts, 600 million dragons hatched, and 38 thousand years of collective time spent in the game. If you like the popular physics games like Angry Birds or Cut The Rope, Ragdoll Blasters 3 offers similarly simple controls, but a unique gameplay concept and plenty of extras will keep you coming back for more rag doll shooting action. One of the most successful games in my career, and soundtracks I have ever created has been DragonVale. These different rag doll types are particularly handy as you play through the later levels, with some requiring you use a specific rag doll to pass certain areas. You can use your collected buttons to buy new rag doll types with special abilities like the Ice Ragdoll that glides across icy surfaces, or the Pudge Ragdoll that uses its extra weight (and girth) to knock down obstacles. Ragdoll Blasters 3 comes with five unlockable worlds, each with 20 levels, different themes, and unique obstacles. You also have the option to watch your replays-extremely handy when you're going for the perfect score and brainstorming new ways to finish a level. The early levels are fairly straightforward, but as you progress you'll need to really look at the level and think to try to get all the buttons and the target in as few shots as possible. Several levels have you tipping boulders off of platforms to activate pulley systems, and other levels require you to find other creative ways to clear your path to the target. Along with trying to arc your shots to get as many buttons as possible, you'll need to use machines like pulleys and levers in certain levels to open up access to other parts of the map. Of course it's never quite that easy you'll also want to grab buttons for extra points, and maps provide plenty of obstacles to make it hard to get a perfect three-star score.Īs the third game in a popular series, you would expect the game to have some polish, and Ragdoll Blasters 3 does not disappoint with sharp graphics, precise controls, and well-thought-out level maps. Like the first two Ragdoll Blasters, the game concept is simple: on each level, aim your cannon and fire the rag doll to hit the target. Ragdoll Blasters 3 is the third installment in the popular physics puzzle series, and this sequel is a solid offering with plenty for puzzle gaming fans.
